We are currently in search of Solmate Technical Support for Soltec North America.
Your goal will be to ensure the reliable operation and performance of renewable energy systems, addressing customer inquiries, resolving technical issues, and coordinating service activities to maximize customer satisfaction and system uptime.
WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING
The Solmate Technical Support will provide technical assistance and customer support to Soltec North America.
Main responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries and technical support requests, responding promptly to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to renewable energy system performance, operation, and maintenance.
- Conduct remote diagnostics and troubleshooting of solar PV arrays, inverters, monitoring equipment, and associated electrical and mechanical components, utilizing available resources and technical documentation to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with field service technicians, engineers, and product specialists to escalate complex technical issues and coordinate on-site service visits or equipment repairs as needed, ensuring timely resolution and minimizing customer downtime.
- Document customer interactions, technical support activities, and service requests in CRM systems, maintaining accurate records of customer communications, issue resolutions, and service history to facilitate ongoing support and tracking.
- Provide technical training and guidance to customers, subcontractors, and internal team members as needed, sharing best practices, troubleshooting tips, and maintenance procedures to enhance system performance and reliability.
- Monitor system performance and data trends, analyzing equipment metrics, alarms, and performance data to proactively identify potential issues, recommend corrective actions, and optimize system efficiency and uptime.
- Support warranty claims and service contracts administration, liaising with internal departments, suppliers, and customers to process warranty claims, schedule service visits, and ensure compliance with warranty terms and conditions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Proficiency in English is required. Bilingual skills in Spanish may be advantageous for communication with diverse teams and customers.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in technical support or customer service roles, preferably in the renewable energy industry.
- Hands-on experience with electrical or mechanical systems maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Required: Basic understanding of renewable energy systems such as solar PV arrays, inverters, and monitoring equipment.
- Valuable: Familiarity with SCADA systems, data analysis tools, and remote monitoring software.
